Finally, after a week of resting my knee, I got to run. Just a measly 2K, but it’s better than nothing 🙂 I’m kinda happy…although, I noticed a steep drop in my endurance (I couldn’t run again for more than 2 minutes 😦 ) Oh well…back to baseline…not a problem 🙂 Thing i gotta do now is try to avoid further injuries. Had to learn it the hard way. I can’t rush it. The more you push, the less you gain in the long run…I say this for those whose bodies just aren’t ready yet to be taken to the next level. Once you’ve established a good enough base, then I think pushing yourself would be beneficial…but unless you’ve done this well enough, you’re just laying yourself wide open to a myriad of injuries. I’ve had several people tell me to just take things slow, one step at a time, build a good base. But, well, what can I say? If there’s The Bull Runner, then there’s me, The Bull-HEADED Runner 😛 Don’t worry, though, if there’s one thing I don’t like doing, it’s repeating mistakes. So, here’s to more 2K’s, slower times and better knees 😛

nice to learn you’re back in the groove. yup, slowly but surely is the way to do it. building mileage builds a runner’s endurance. and a strong runner is better than a fast but injury-prone one.
also, don’t forget to stretch after every running session.
i’m also a newbie, and like you, i’m learning these stuff from the veterans hehehe
take care!
